Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Coastline Heron website, coaching services, original artwork purchases, and digital products offered through this website. By using this website, booking a session, completing an intake form, or purchasing a product, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Coastline Heron is operated from Costa da Caparica, Portugal.
1. Nature of Coaching Services
Coastline Heron provides coaching services focused on personal development, relational awareness, communication, values, decision-making, performance, and meaningful change. Coaching is not psychotherapy, counselling, mental-health treatment, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or any form of clinical service. Roei Bachar-Hurwitz is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, doctor, or licensed mental-health professional, and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent psychological or medical conditions. If you are experiencing acute psychological distress, crisis, risk of harm, or symptoms that may require clinical intervention, you are encouraged to seek support from a licensed mental-health professional, medical provider, crisis service, or relevant emergency services.
2. Responsibility and Decision-Making
Coaching is a collaborative process. It offers reflection, tools, questions, exercises, and support, but it does not replace professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other specialist advice. Clients remain fully responsible for their own decisions, actions, choices, and outcomes during and after the coaching process. No specific result, transformation, relationship outcome, performance improvement, or personal change is guaranteed.
3. Eligibility
Coaching services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. By booking a session, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you are voluntarily entering a coaching relationship with an understanding of the nature and limitations of coaching.
4. Couples and Multi-Person Relationship Systems
Couples coaching is designed for two partners unless otherwise agreed. If a relationship system includes more than two people, the structure, session length, and pricing will be discussed after the introductory meeting, based on the needs and complexity of the system. The coach does not take sides and does not act as a mediator, arbitrator, legal advisor, therapist, or decision-maker. The work focuses on communication, awareness, values, relational patterns, and shared understanding. It does not determine fault and does not provide legal guidance regarding separation, custody, finances, or other legal matters.
5. Session Length, Pricing, and Payment
A 20-minute introductory meeting may be offered before beginning the coaching process. A standard couples coaching session currently lasts 90 minutes and costs €50, unless otherwise agreed or stated at the time of booking. Other coaching formats, including individual coaching, organizational coaching, athlete or coach support, and multi-person relationship systems, may vary in length, structure, and pricing. For services that are not listed with a fixed price, pricing and format will be discussed individually before work begins. Payment is required before each session. Prices may be updated from time to time. Any price changes will not affect sessions that have already been confirmed unless agreed with the client.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full. If a client does not attend a scheduled session without notice, the session will be charged in full. If a client arrives late, the session may still end at the originally scheduled time. Repeated cancellations, late arrivals, or no-shows may result in discontinuation of services.
7. Confidentiality in Coaching
We treat information shared during coaching sessions as confidential, subject to limited legal, safety, and ethical exceptions. Information may be disclosed only if: you provide explicit permission; disclosure is required by law; there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or another person; disclosure is necessary to protect legal rights or respond to legal process. For couples or multi-person systems, confidentiality applies to the group as a whole. Information shared individually with the coach may need to be brought into the joint process if it is relevant to the coaching work. Coaching is not a suitable format for secrets that one participant expects the coach to hold permanently from another participant in the same joint coaching process.
8. Intake Forms, Communication, and Personal Information
Clients may be asked to complete intake forms before beginning coaching. Information collected through intake forms, booking forms, email communication, or session notes is used for the purpose of providing coaching services, managing appointments, and maintaining appropriate records. Please avoid sending highly sensitive information through general contact forms. Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR.
9. GDPR and Data Protection
For clients, visitors, and customers located in the European Union or European Economic Area, personal data is handled in accordance with GDPR. Depending on the situation, you may have the right to: access your personal data; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal data; restrict or object to certain types of processing; request a copy of your data; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. More information is available in our Privacy Policy.
10. Original Artwork and Digital Prints
Coastline Heron may offer original physical artwork and digital downloads of Chaya’s artwork through the website. Original artworks are one-of-a-kind physical works, usually acrylic on paper unless stated otherwise in the product description. Each original artwork is sold as a unique physical item. Product descriptions may include details such as medium, size, whether the work is framed or unframed, price, and shipping information. Digital prints are delivered as downloadable files. No physical item will be shipped for digital products. Prices are listed on the relevant product page or at checkout. Prices may vary depending on the artwork, size, format, and availability. Please review all product descriptions carefully before purchasing.
11. Use of Digital Products
Digital downloads are for personal use only. You may print a digital file for yourself or as a personal gift. You may not: resell, redistribute, or share the digital file; upload the file to print-on-demand platforms; modify the artwork for resale or commercial use; use the artwork for branding, advertising, merchandise, or commercial products; claim the artwork as your own; reproduce or distribute the file publicly without written permission. All rights in the artwork remain with the artist unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
12. Digital Downloads and Withdrawal Rights
Digital products are delivered electronically. By purchasing a digital download and receiving immediate access to the file, you understand that the digital product becomes available for use immediately after purchase. Where required by applicable consumer law, we may ask you to confirm at checkout that you consent to immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that you may lose your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been made available. Once a digital file has been made available, digital download purchases are generally final and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded, except where required by law.
13. Shipping for Original Artwork
Original physical artworks are shipped to the address provided at checkout. Buyers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information. Shipping costs are calculated by country / region at checkout where applicable. International buyers may be responsible for customs duties, import taxes, or local fees required by their country. Original artworks are shipped in protective packaging and are sold unframed unless stated otherwise in the product description. Delivery times may vary depending on destination, postal services, customs processing, and other circumstances outside our control.
14. Returns, Refunds, and Damaged Original Artwork
Because original artworks are one-of-a-kind physical items, returns are generally not accepted unless the item arrives damaged, an error has occurred with the order, or a return is required by applicable law. If an original artwork arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the packaging and the artwork. We will review the situation and discuss an appropriate next step, which may include a refund, return, or other solution depending on the circumstances. Any refund or return will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
15. Payments
Payments for coaching services, original artwork, and digital products may be processed through Squarespace Payments and, where enabled, PayPal or other supported checkout options. Payment details are processed by the relevant payment provider and are not stored directly by Coastline Heron. By purchasing through the website, you may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the relevant payment provider.
16. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, artwork, images, digital files, illustrations, graphics, articles, logos, and materials, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all rights are reserved by Coastline Heron, Roei Bachar-Hurwitz, Chaya, or the relevant creator. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publish, upload, or use website content or artwork for commercial purposes without written permission. Purchasing an original artwork, digital print, or other product does not transfer copyright or intellectual property rights to the buyer.
17. Website Use
You agree not to use this website in a way that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, disruptive, or damaging to the website, its users, or Coastline Heron. You may not attempt to interfere with the security, functionality, or proper operation of the website.
18. Links to Third-Party Services
This website may include links to third-party websites or services, including scheduling tools, payment providers, social media platforms, or other external services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, terms, or security of third-party websites or services. Use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
19. Limitation of Liability
Coaching is a collaborative process and results vary between individuals, couples, groups, and organizations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coastline Heron is not liable for decisions, actions, outcomes, losses, or damages arising from the client’s use of coaching services, website content, or purchased products, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
